Purpose of the role

The Director of Finance will lead strategic financial management, ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and long-term financial sustainability for Dementia UK. They will also play an active role in assessment and decision making regarding preventing and managing any financial risks within the charity. The Director will ensure statutory and regulatory compliance and play an active role in developing the long-term view of financial operations to deliver financial stability.

The Director of Finance is a member of the Executive Team reporting to the CEO/Chief Admiral Nurse and will be accountable to the Finance Risk and Audit Committee and Board of Trustees. It is expected the Director of Finance will work closely with the Executive Team who will ensure that best practice is delivered not only in all financial aspects, but in other operational and strategic matters of the charity.
